C17We rented a car this morning and headed to France. We stopped in Bastogne, Belgium for lunch. While in Bastogne, we received bad news from home. One of our dearest friends had a heart attack and was in grave condition. Linda and I knew there was only one decision ...go home. We turned around, drove back to Germany. Turned in the rental. Called the Air Force, checked on a flight back to US. They put us on a C-17, leaving the next morning. We had an uneventful flight to Dover AFB. Picked up our car and headed for Alabama.
This will be the last blog entry on this trip.
