If you have time to spare, go by military air. 03/006/2011

Linda and I left Auburn after the baseball game on 03/02 and headed for Charleston AFB for a "space A" adventure. This is a dual mission, Auburn University baseball was playing in the College of Charleston Baseball Tournament and we thought we would try for a "hop" to Europe.
We had been following the overseas schedule for almost 2 months. It seemed there were daily flights to either Spain, Germany or both. Auburn baseball and a trip to Europe. We were very excited.
Upon arriving in Charleston, we found there was a trip to Ramstein, Germany on Sunday. With prior planning, it looked liked we would see all of the tournament and then hop on a C17 for Ramstein. Auburn had a great tournament, it swept the series. We beat New York Tech, College of Charleston, and Western Kentucky. That part was good, now for the rest of the story. Our Sunday night flight was pushed back to Monday night. The only scheduled trip across the Atlantic.
I extended our stay in the BOQ until Tuesday. Tuesday we will be somewhere on the coast of France or headed for Wetumpka. Regardless, it has been a great trip. Charleston is a pretty city, the seafood is great, and baseball was exciting. Last night we ate at a great restaurant, Fleet Landing, recommended by Jerry Hankins and now we are off to Sunday Brunch at Magnolias, recommended by Amanda Kearley.
Stay tuned for future developments.
